BigSoccer Spawns BigFooty. Aussie Rules Change Forever.

19 May 2000

It is September 1999 and Adrian Appleyard’s AFLTips.com tipping competition has had a good season with 2,000 members. The Footynet general footy news web site is getting a small amount of traffic, but the busiest page on either web site is a message board.

Searching the net, Adrian stumbles across the BigSoccer.com forum and approaches the owners about creating an Australian Football version.

It is now December 1999 and BigFooty.com has launched with high hopes of becoming a central footy forum where fans from all teams can meet and talk footy all day, every day of the year.
